FAQ

Shipping, grinding, freshness, and a few brewing basics. Still stuck? We are happy to help.

Orders & shipping

How fast do you ship?

Online bean ordering is launching soon. When it opens, we roast to order and ship within 48 hours of roast day so your beans land fresh, with most orders arriving in 2 to 5 business days.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes. Free shipping on orders over $35 anywhere in the lower 48. Under that it is a flat $7.

Whole bean or ground?

We roast and sell whole beans only, so they stay fresh right up until you grind them. A burr grinder just before brewing makes a real difference.

What is your return policy?

Coffee is perishable, so we cannot accept returns on opened bags. If anything arrives damaged or wrong, email us within 7 days and we will make it right.

Do you ship internationally?

Not yet. We currently ship within the United States, and local pickup is always available at the shop in Idaho Falls.

Can I send coffee as a gift?

Absolutely. Add a gift note at checkout, or grab a digital gift card that works for beans, merch, and drinks.

Coffee & brewing

How should I store my coffee?

Keep it in the resealable bag somewhere cool, dark, and dry. Skip the fridge and freezer, moisture is coffee's enemy. For peak flavor, use it within 3 to 4 weeks of the roast date.

What grind do I need?

Pour-over and drip like a medium grind, espresso wants fine, and French press does best coarse. Not sure? Our brew guides walk through each one step by step.

How much coffee should I use?

At Moose Ridge, we use a 2:1 ratio: 2 grams of coffee for every 1 fl oz of water.

Which roast should I start with?

If you like it smooth and balanced, start with Ridge Line. Bold and dark, reach for Trailhead. Bright and fruity, try Wild Bloom.

Do you have decaf?

Last Light is a chemical-free Swiss Water decaf with all the flavor and none of the buzz.

Do you service espresso machines?

We do: diagnostics, repair, and brewing consultation. See the Repairs page for details and to request a visit.
